Schedules depend on availability, enrollment, and academic progress.

F-1 students must remain enrolled full-time every term to keep their SEVIS record active.
If you stop attending without authorization, your SEVIS record may be terminated, and you would need a new I-20 to return.

Always speak with your DSO before making any changes to your schedule or attendance to avoid losing your F-1 status.

If you make any changes to your study plan, you must notify your Designated School Official (DSO) within 10 days. This includes changes such as:

  • Changing your academic level or program
  • Withdrawing from classes
  • Taking a leave of absence
  • Completing your program early

The DSO will then update your SEVIS record and issue an updated I-20 to reflect your new study plan.
